ఈ మధ్య ఇంటర్ నేషనల్ ఇంగ్లీష్ లాంగ్వేజ్ టెస్టింగ్ సిస్టమ్ (IELTS )అనే సంస్థ తెలుగు మాతృ భాషగా గల తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల  విద్యార్థిని విద్యార్థులకు ఇంగ్లిష్  నైపుణ్యాలు అంటే ముఖ్యముగా స్పోకెన్ ఇంగ్లిష్ లో మన పొరుగు రాష్ట్రాలవారితో పోలిస్తే తక్కువ అని తెలియజేసింది. 2015లో తెలియజేసిన లెక్కల ప్రకారము తెలుగు విద్యార్థులు 6.5 బాండ్ స్కోర్ లో 12శాతము మంది మాత్రమే చోటు దక్కించుకున్నారు. మలయాళీ విద్యార్థులు 24%, తమిళ విద్యార్ధులు 20% చోటు సంపాదించు కున్నారు హింది విద్యార్థులు 17%, బెంగాలీ విద్యార్థులు 16% సంపాదించి తెలుగు విద్యార్థులకన్నా ముందున్నారు మనకన్నా తక్కువ 10% తో పంజాబీ విద్యార్థులు ఉన్నారు విదేశాలలో ఉన్నత విద్య అభ్యసించటానికి  ఇంగ్లిష్ భాషా నైపుణ్యాలు చాలా అవసరము అంతేకాకుండా అక్కడ ఉద్యోగాలు చేయాలన్న చాలా అవసరమైనది ఇంగ్లీష్ భాషా నైపుణ్యము ఈ వెనుక బాటు తనానికి ప్రధాన కారణము స్కూళ్లలో సరిగా ఇంగ్లిష్ నేర్పకపోవటం స్కూళ్ళు  లెక్కలు, సైన్సు మీద చూపించినంత శ్రద్ద ఇంగ్లిష్ పై చూపించక పో వటమే అని నిపుణులు చెపుతున్నారు పెద్ద ఆశ్చర్యకరమైన విషయము ఏమిటి అంటే మూడేళ్ళ వయస్సు వచ్చినప్పటినుండి పిల్లలను  ఇంగ్లిష్ మీడియమ్ స్కూళ్లలో జేర్పించిన ఇంగ్లిష్ రాకపోవటము ఎందుకంటే ఆ స్కూళ్లలో సరిగా ఇంగ్లిష్ చెప్పే టీచర్స్ లేకపోవటము కొన్ని రోజుల క్రితము వరకు సాఫ్ట్ వేర్ రంగములో భారతీయులు ముఖ్యముగా తెలుగు వాళ్ళు ఉద్యోగాలు సంపాదించుకోవటానికి కారణము ఇంగ్లిష్ భాషా నైపుణ్యాలు చైనావారు ఇంగ్లీష్ భాషా నైపుణ్యాలలో వెనక బద్ద వల్ల ఉద్యోగాల విషయములో కూడా వెనక బడిఉన్నారు ప్రస్తుతము పరిస్తుతులు మారుతున్నాయి, ఇప్పటికైనా తెలుగు విద్యార్థులు వారి ఇంగ్లిష్ భాషా నైపుణ్యాలను పెంచుకోకపోతే (ఇంటర్ నేషనల్ స్టాన్దర్డ్స్ కు తగ్గట్టుగా) చాలా నష్ట పోతారు ఇప్పటికే మన ఇంజనీరింగ్  విద్యార్థుల నైపుణ్యాలూతక్కువ అని తేల్చారు భాషా నైపుణ్యాలు కూడా తగ్గితే ఎందుకు పనికి రారు డిగ్రీలు అలంకార ప్రాయము అవుతాయి 

ministers attitude in attending the meeting,

Today in Guntur state level meeting of "26th International Day of Older persons" was organized by the ministry of social welfare. It has to be started by 10 A.M. As usual the old persons who are above 60 years and physically handicapped people gathered before 10 and concerned officials also attended as part of their duty, but unfortunately no minister or politicians have not turned till 11.30 A.M . Meanwhile the gathering was entertained by cultural activities like classical  dances. Our politicians never follow time they make the people to wait for them. Is it reasonable or justified to do such things. When you know the value of time you can achieve everything. when you are wasting time means simply you are wasting money. In my college days one of my Lecturer used to say that we learned everything from English people except "punctuality". That is the pity.
